Born in Japan in 2003 and raised in downtown Sacramento, Theo is an emerging artist known for his work in acrylic and oil realism. Immersed in a vibrant community of creatives, he has dedicated his life to painting, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Chico State in May 2025.
This exhibition presents a collection of Theo’s latest paintings—reproductions of digital collages assembled from internet-sourced imagery. Seeking to evoke conversation about the effects of the internet via the imagery that he collages. Pushing to represent the iconography and digital processes only seen within digital landscapes, allowing for a more in-depth consideration by utilizing traditional media such as painting.
