A Snapshot Revisited
February 24–March 19, 2023
Reception: Friday, February 24, 5-7pm
A Snapshot Revisited is an investigation into the act of looking at photographs. This work—in painting and image—examines the ontology of photography, and the mediums shaky relationship to understanding. While provoking and reflexively studying my own relationship with the image, I consider photography’s impact on understanding personal history, and reinvest in the emotional resonance of an otherwise unremarkable snapshot.
