Bobbie’s Qs+As

Where do you feel silence?
Every morning upon waking, I sit at my altar upon my meditation cushion, sing in prayer, and open to our essential nature.

What’s stopping you?
I'm called a steam roller by my closest friends.  My issue isn't stopping but judiciously choosing the correct path.

A favored quotation?
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”― Margaret Mead

Where do you wish you could be other than here?
A pine forest, with the deep green of the trees against the deep blue of the sky.

How well do you trust your intuition?
My intuition leads me, and with respect and gratitude, I follow with imagination and joy.

Hogan’s Qs+As
Where do you feel silence?

For me the Sacramento River in my boat with a fly rod in my hand is where the world goes silent for me.

A promise kept?
I work everyday to keep the promise I made to myself to work hard, be a good husband to my wife, a good father for my son, and provide the best life possible for both.

What have you learned the hard way?
I have learned the hard way that most people when you strip it all back and away most people are self motivated and put themself above others.

Forward or back?
Always look forward with respect and reverence for those that came before you and whose shoulders you stand on, but always push forward to innovate and improve what was before you.

Where do you feel silence?
In the shower, alone in my car, sometimes on a walk with Daisy.

A favored quotation?
“Many people will walk in and out of your life but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.”—Eleanor Roosevelt

 What’s the strangest thing?
Having D. Trump as President.

Whats something that would make your life better?
No pandemic, gun control.

Forward or back?
Forward.

What happened ten years ago?
The twins were born.

What have you learned the hard way?
Life.

Why don’t you want to go to that place?
I feel uncomfortable.

What is the sound you are hearing?

The TV news: Rachel Maddow

Where do you wish you could be other than here?
With Zoe.
 A favored quotation?
“You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.” —Maya Angelou
Forward or back?
Forward.

Robert’s Qs+As
What is the sound that you are hearing?
I always hear music. Sometimes I’m humming, but mostly I hear music in my mind’s eye, an auditory image without actual sound. I hear the melody, the chords, the tempo, and often the mood without hearing the physical sound.
Where do you hear silence?
Silence to me is tinnitus. I’ve learned to tune it out, the constant high-pitched ringing in my ears. When I’m in a silent arena, I hear the tinnitus.
What’s stopping you?
Usually fear. Not fear of failure, but fear of acting. Fear of jumping in with both feet, of commencing. My mind says, once you’ve started, there’s no turning back.
