The mission of the 1078 Gallery, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is to offer exciting exhibitions of contemporary and experimental artworks in visual, musical, literary, film, and performance mediums. The gallery began in 1982 at 1078 Humboldt Avenue in Chico, CA; moved to 5th and Cherry Streets a few miles away for several decades; and has been at its current location on 820 Broadway since summer 2006.

Our programs are supported in part by funds from the City of Chico and from our members and donors.

1078 Gallery is available to co-sponsor with persons/organizations for events and activities consistent with its mission.

Rates are variable but tend to be 30% of the door.
If there is no door charge, rates are typically:
Groups (For Profit/Companies) $65/Hour
Groups (Non-Profit) $25/hour (4 hours or more)
$30/hour (fewer than 4 hours)
Individuals (Members) $40/Hour
Individuals (Non-Members) $50/Hour
If the gallery provides concessions, then it takes full profit (other concessions arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis).

Sound Manager
Use of 1078 sound system $75 to $150
