Today I am a weaver, spinner, sewist, quilter, drawer, woodworker, and painter. I lecture at California State University, Chico, in the art department.--Rebecca Shelly
As often happens when people get older, I, too, have put aside some of my past ambitions, re-evaluated former aspirations, and moved in another direction entirely.--Bill Houck I draw, paint, sculpt, knit, crochet, and embroider with thread. I have never been a perfectionist. I enjoy making things spontaneously and letting things take shape....--Karen Westheimer I'm interested in the intersection of science and art and have explored the imagery of the natural sciences for many years. Although I work primarily with clay....—Sue Whitmore It was at Diablo Valley College in Pleasanton, CA, that I took my first class in life drawing—something I have been doing off and on for these past fifty years.—Mark Gailey This last summer as I have been setting up a new home, I've been delighting in putting all my objects together, matching the curves on a lamp with curves on a rock.—Jessica Perelman |
