Allison Hyde
Allison Hyde was selected as the recipient of the Turner Friends Solo Exhibition Award for her piece in the 9th National Print Competition at the Janet Turner Print Museum (2012). The award includes an overlapping exhibition of Hyde's prints at the Turner March 11 - April 14 and Hyde's installation at the 1078 March 7 - 30.
Hyde is a Pacific Northwest artist, teacher, curator, and gallery director, who was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. She received her Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Oregon in 2011 and is currently showing her work at many locations across the West Coast. While investigating ideas of memory and loss, personal objects and traces of history, her work manifests itself in many forms including works on paper, sculptural installation, digital media, and painting. Hyde is the director of the LaVerne Krause Gallery at the University of Oregon,Eugene, where she also is an instructor of art.

Nicole Pietrantoni
Nicole Pietrantoni's artwork explores the complex relationship between human beings and nature. Employing both traditional and non-traditional methods of printmaking, she creates installations, works on paper, and public art. As a Leifur Eiríksson Foundation Scholarship recipient and Fulbright Fellow to Iceland in 2010-2011 she was a visiting artist at the Icelandic Printmakers' Association where she taught printmaking classes and co-chaired a printmaking conference in Reykjavik. Nicole has been awarded numerous artist residencies in the US and Iceland including the SÍM Residency, Akureyri Artists Residency, and the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust. She was the recipient of the Margaret Stonewall Wooldridge Hamblet Award, the Elizabeth Catlett Fellowship, and a public art commission from the University of Iowa Hospital. Her work is in numerous collections and has been in exhibitions across the United States, Iceland, and Croatia.
Pietrantoni received her MFA with Honors in Printmaking and Intermedia in 2010 at the University of Iowa. She taught printmaking and time-based media at the University of Iowa and frequently facilitates art workshops in settings outside the classroom, such as hospitals and clinics. Prior to graduate school, Nicole was the director of the visual art and media program at the Tennessee Arts Commission where she administered grants for artists and nonprofit arts organizations and curated the Commission gallery. She received her BS in Art History and Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and has also studied art at the Lorenzo de Medici Institute of Art in Florence, Italy, and the Penland School of Crafts. She is currently a visiting assistant professor at the University of Montana-Missoula where she teaches printmaking.
